Financial Management Services

The Financial Management Services Administration directs the management, accounting, disbursement and reporting of DMV's financial resources. Financial Management Services functional grouping for CSI includes Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Contract Administration, and Grant Accounting. Accounts Receivable includes revenue collection, revenue distribution, funds reconciliation and settlement, billing, returned check processing and related responsibilities. Accounts Payable includes vendor invoice payment, bill payment, refund processing and related activities. The Oracle Financials system will continue to support the Accounts Payable functions for DMV. Contract Administration includes the diverse contracts and agreements employed by DMV for goods and services. Grant Accounting includes the administration of grant funds for the originator and the recipient of the funds.

The CSI system will provide an integrated approach to these functions allowing DMV to maximize its efforts to collect and account for revenue and distribute those funds efficiently and effectively. All financial operations will be tied to the appropriate transaction within the customer's account to fulfill our 360 degree view vision. In addition, CSI will provide timely and accurate reporting capabilities to expedite financial reconciliation, revenue deposits and management information. Imaging technology, in concert with dynamic workflow, will provide efficiencies in document management to include the ability to capture, store, import, and access all documents electronically. The goal of CSI is to provide an efficient mechanism for Financial Management Services to successfully complete its mission.
