Inventory Management

Inventory Management includes the following areas: General Inventory Management, Fixed Assets Inventory Management and Transportation Fleet Management. This module manages all DMV inventory to move toward just-in-time inventory. DMV should see a large reduction in the number of forms and inventory items as we capture and utilize data that allows us to effectively manage our customer relationships as part of Customer-Centric. For Service-Oriented, we need to provide seamless outcomes. Paper applications should be eliminated wherever possible and customers should key their information directly into the system before interacting with a DMV employee. Just-in-time inventory will utilize State-of-the-Art technology. We will leverage the efficiencies offered by technological peripheral equipment such as barcodes, barcode readers, barcode scanners and electronic forms. We will be able to use transaction data to automatically adjust inventory statistics, trigger inventory reorders and support migration to "just in time" inventory practices in the Intelligent phase. And finally, for Secure we will adequately track and monitor the distribution of secure products such as titles, license plates and driver's license.
