Tax Processing

The Tax Services module will support tax filing, tax calculation, tax account reconciliation, and revenue account distribution for Fuels Tax, Motor Vehicle Rental Tax, International Fuels Tax Agreement (IFTA), Fuel Violations, and Fuels Tax Refunds. In the future, tax filers will be able to file tax returns and submit tax payments electronically. Certain calculations and edits will be provided up front to the tax filer to eliminate the need for manual intervention and result in a decrease in tax reporting errors and tax assessments. The Service Delivery component will provide a complete view of a tax filer's account. Business Intelligence will provide the means to analyze tax data to identify trends, reporting discrepancies or inconsistencies, and automatically generate correspondence to the tax filer or initiate management alerts. The combination of electronic filing, business intelligence, and service delivery will increase efficiency.
