Becoming Qualified

Becoming qualified is as easy going to your local Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) customer service center (CSC) and requesting to take the test. You can request a study guide before taking the examination to increase your chance of success (downloaded from the web site or visit your local DMV customer service center). A $25 application fee is required to take the test at the DMV CSC.

Once you have passed the test, the DMV Dealer Services Work Center will mail you a Certificate Of Qualification. This certificate is NOT a license to sell motor vehicles. It does, however, qualify you to pursue your license and perform limited duties at your dealership.
