Voluntary Driving Record Monitoring Program

DMV has established a voluntary program to monitor the driving records of individuals employed by participating public and private transportation companies and other organizations employing large numbers of drivers. This program offers participating employers the ability to monitor their drivers when their record is updated with a DUI or reckless driving conviction or their driving privileges are suspended, revoked or disqualified.

Driving record monitoring requires an organization to establish a legal agreement with DMV. If a driver does not hold a commercial driver's license (CDL) or is not required to hold a CDL as a condition of employment, the organization must obtain permission from the employee to receive a copy of his or her driving record.

The program is free for public organizations. Private organizations are required to pay a $25 application fee and will be billed $9 for each adverse driving record provided.

To apply use form US531A. If you have questions about the application process, contact Use Agreement Services at (804) 497-7155, (804) 367-2536 (FAX), or send an e-mail.
