DMV Podcast Help

What is a podcast?

Podcasting makes an audio file, such as an MP3 or WAV file, available for downloading by using a feed. You can then listen to the file on your computer or load them to a portable media player.

What do I need to listen to podcasts?

The Virginia DMV's podcasts are MP3 audio format files that can be played in Windows Media Player, Quicktime, Apple iTunes, or other MP3 compatible software.

How do I subscribe to or download a podcast?

Subscribing is easy. All you need is a podcast subscription software (such as Apple iTunes) or service (such as Yahoo) and the podcast URL. Just click on "subscribe", copy the URL (for example: http://www.dmv.virginia.gov/webdoc/feeds/podcasts/podcastfeed.asp), and paste it into your podcast software or subscription service. Consult your podcast software or service's supporting documentation for more information.
